Social Saturday Drumming Taster event

Friday October 13th

Venue: Jubilee Park Community Centre, Powis Avenue, Tipton DY4 0RJ

Time 12.30 till 2.30

Drumming Together comes to Sandwell.

Free drop-in taster session, everyone welcome.

Come and meet us, play on some drums and find out about our brand new project coming to Sandwell. This taster session celebrates Social Saturday, a nationwide day of events and activities to celebrate the nation’s booming social enterprise sector.
Drumming Together workshops are multi-sensory music sessions for older people. They are dementia-friendly and promote well-being. In our workshop participants:
• Try something new in a supportive environment
• Make friends and share laughter
• Play on real instruments (no musical knowledge needed)
• Use drums to ‘talk’ in new ways

After building up our venture in Herefordshire and mid-Wales we are excited to be expanding into Sandwell. Details of our new Drumming Together programme starting in November are soon to be released. Come along and find out more on October 13th.

About social enterprise. Social enterprises are businesses that trade to deliver on a social or environmental mission. That might be providing training and skills to people who want to get into work, creating quality products from items that may otherwise have gone to waste, supporting development projects abroad or running community owned energy projects in the UK
There are nearly 80,000 social enterprises in the UK, employing over a million people and contributing more than £24 billion to the UK economy.

Together they are changing people’s lives in a positive way and transforming local communities. We are proud to be a part of Social Saturday and encourage your members to come along to our event, and to find out more about the work we do. Social Saturday is promoted by Social Enterprise UK.
